We have a requirement for a Process Engineering Section Head; the position is based in Abu Dhabi, with an immediate start.

Duties Include:

  • To manage the process engineering/process control/production data services section and executing the five years long term business and yearly operational plans to provide the required contribution to the achievement of the technical services department and company’s objectives ensuring alignment and common understanding (in particular the HSE and Process Safety objectives)
  • To act as a focal point for plant performance, catalyst performance monitoring, catalyst/colecular sieve handling activities, test runs for existing unit performance measurement, process debottlenecking studies and efficiency studies
  • To supervise the preliminary process upset/failure investigations/studies in order to find out the root causes and to prevent reoccurrence by implementing recommended remedial actions
  • To coordinate and supervise the new projects pre commissioning process activities which include process performance tests, equipment constraint tests as well as efficiency tests
  • To initiate process studies for plant changes and modifications for higher yield, better quality and higher efficiency, leading HAZOP studies and preparing process packages for further implementation. Participate in HSEIA, QRA and risk assessment to enhance process safety
  • To manage and ensure that the activities of Process Engineering and Process Control are carried out in accordance to Oil & Gas industry practices and meeting the design standards of the existing facillities or the Gasco standards for projects
  • To manage the process data and environmental data collected over time with sufficient high enabling to retrieve it over an extend period for further studies, incident investigations, shareholders reporting as well as energy and efficiency studies
