We have a requirement for a Workshop & Static Equipment Section Head; the position is based in Abu Dhabi, with an immediate start.

Duties Include:

  • To establish a well organized and coordinated range of workshop services to the maintenance teams given the challenges of the new organization structure and undeveloped planning systems
  • To develop the workshop with modern machine tools and systems to meet the latest standards
  • To manage and direct the services of the plant maintenance workshop to provide a comprehensive range of support services to the plants assets
  • To develop, evaluate and provide outsourcing contracts for specialized services
  • To identify obsolete equipment and develop repair strategies for corrective action in coordination with Engineering & Technical Support Division
  • To enforce the implementation of Health, Safety and Environment Management system (HSE-MS) and also promote awareness of its use among all division and department personnel
  • To prepare method statement and risk assessment for critical activities
  • To plan and coordinate maintenance/repair, installation and testing of wide range of major mechanical static equipment
  • To provide advice in the development of proposals for modifications or additions to existing systems
  • To establish monitor and control budget for central maintenance services activities
  • To develop and optimize the 5-year Major/Extraordinary maintenance business plan
  • To direct and review the purchasing process including purchase requisition, technical review and analysis of the quotations
  • To ensure development & implementation of competency based training & development programs through use of personal development plans (PDP’s) competency assurance management system (CAMS) and UAE nationalization directives
